At the push of a waterproof pendant, your ADC Medi-Alert Console begins calling our 24 hour monitoring center. The ADC internal siren sounds as it dials the call to relay your personal information code to our monitoring center.
Once the necessary information is transmitted to the monitoring center, in approximately 30-60 seconds your ADC Voice to Voice talk feature is activated and you can talk to the attendant at the monitoring center through the console.
The trained attendant then follows a preset protocol to determine if there is a problem.
If there is a problem, the attendant then determines the extent and seriousness of the problem. Once this is determined the attendant then calls "responders" (relatives, neighbors or friends who have agreed to help). In some cases your local emergency services are called.

Step 1: Pick a "central" location in the home near a telephone jack, and a power outlet (Make sure power outlet is not controlled by a wall switch).
Step 2: Unplug the existing telephone from the wall phone jack and plug the telephone cord included with your ADC Console directly into the wall phone jack, than plug your phone into the jack marked "Plug phone or other device here" on the back of your ADC Console.
Step 3: Plug the black adapter cord into the electrical outlet. *Make sure the outlet is not being controlled by a wall switch.
