Back in May 2013, we at Rapid Response (aka) medi-alert.com, medical-alert-alarms, rapidresponsemedicalalarms.com have received many calls from seniors asking if we had called offering a medi-alert service to them. Mainly the scam could also be a way for con artists to obtain your bank or credit card information or even a Social Security number to use later in ID theft. Or a way for someone to pressure seniors into paying for other equipment or services you just don’t need. This occurrence is being conducted by a fraudulent group of people and their call is meant to confuse you.
Traditionally, we do not make soliciting calls in marketing. We are the official medi-alert.com, medical-alert-alarms.com company since 1992. Our advice just to hang up the phone, do not press any buttons and if someone does talk to you, be sure to ask first for the company’s name, telephone number and their physical address and you’ll call them back when you are ready. If the representative wants your information but won’t give out its own, it’s a red flag to a scam.
