SOS alerts – know if they need help
When the SOS button on the GPS watch is pressed, it will send an SOS alert text with location information to the phone numbers which have been pre-set by text message (up to three numbers which can also be landlines. These are set, and can be changed anytime, by sending a text message to the GPS watch).The GPS Tracker will also call the alert numbers, in turn, until someone answers for a two-way conversation. The carer will know to expect a call because they will have already just received the text alert moments before. It’s an incredibly useful safety feature.[/responsivevoice]

What Do You Need To Get This Working?
The GPS tracker just needs a SIM card – which we can install for you, for free. It is then like a small mobile phone, able to send and receive texts. You can text the GPS tracker from your own mobile phone to program the various functions, request locations, and call the GPS Tracker if you need to. The smartwatch can and make a call to telephone numbers on the whitelist. Just like a cell phone.
What’s more, the SIM cards we can include with your GPS Tracker will give you 75 Minutes Voice, 75 Text Messages, and 75 Mbps free credit when activated. So once activated you’ll actually have 1 month depending on how much you’re likely to use your GPS Tracker. Unless you think you’ll be making lots of outgoing phone calls from your GPS Tracker you need more minutes, text messages or data you can always switch to the $25.00 per month plan.[/responsivevoice]

Can GPS watch get a good signal indoors?
GPS signals are good when the GPS Watch is outside or near a window. If the GPS Tracker is in a building and not near a window, then the GPS signal may be weak (resulting in slightly reduced accuracy) or absent.
The tracker will give you the next best thing though – the last known location (with the date/time of when it was found), or it will resort to using the mobile phone mast towers to find an approximate location and report that instead (and tell you that’s what its done).[/responsivevoice] [responsivevoice voice=”US English Female” buttontext=”Listen to this”]
Geo-fencing – know if they wander.
The GPS Tracker can tell you when someone strays too far – and also exactly where they are. It’s useful for all sorts of situations – knowing if a vulnerable wanderer leaves their street or area, if your child leaves school, or even if someone enters an unwanted area.
With a simple text command, you set a radius from wherever the tracker happens to be when the function is set (e.g. at the person’s home). If the Tracker then strays beyond that set limit, then an alert warning text is sent to the three alert phone numbers.
You can also set the geofence to alert you if it goes into the area, rather than out of it. So if the person wanders to a place that’s dangerous or unwanted in some way – you will be alerted via SMS.[/responsivevoice] [responsivevoice voice=”US English Female” buttontext=”Listen to this”]
When a geofence is breached, a single alert will be sent to the alert numbers (up to three), which includes the location link. When the person then returns back into the safe zone, the geofence automatically starts again. So if they stray too far again, you’ll get the alert again.
Note: We recommend a minimum of 50 meters for geofences. This is because overnight when the tracker is indoors, the signal accuracy can reduce as satellites go out of and into view again. This can cause false alarms unless the geofence is big enough. Geo-fencing can’t be used to know if someone has walked through their front door for example. However, in good conditions or when outdoors, the GPS accuracy is within a meter – and this GPS Tracker is particularly accurate with an incredibly strong signal.[/responsivevoice] [responsivevoice voice=”US English Female” buttontext=”Listen to this”]

Once the necessary information is transmitted to the center, in approximately 60 seconds your GPS Mobile Alert voice to voice talk feature is activated, and you can talk to the attendant at the center letting us know what kind of help you need.
The trained attendant then follows a preset protocol to determine if there is a problem. If there is a problem, the attendant then determines the extent and seriousness of the problem. Once this is determined the attendant then calls “respondents” (relatives, neighbors or friends who have agreed to help). How Does the Heart Rate Monitor Work?
Unlike chest strap heart rate monitors — which closely emulate a real EKG machine by measuring electrical pulse — these devices use light to track your blood. By illuminating your capillaries with a LED, a sensor adjacent to the light measures the frequency at which your blood pumps past (aka your heart rate). A person’s target heart rate should be 50 percent to 70 percent of his or her maximum heart rate. For example, using the results calculated above for a 50-year-old person, 50 percent, and 70 percent levels would be:
- 50 percent level: 170 x 0.50 = 85 beats per minute (bpm)
- 70 percent level: 170 x 0.70 = 119 bpm

Do your GPS Trackers have SOS panic buttons?
All our trackers have an SOS button. When pressed (and held), a text is sent out to the programmed number to indicate the SOS has been pressed, along with the location coordinates.

What happens if there is no mobile phone signal?
In that situation, you wouldn’t be able to locate the watch, because they use text messaging and/or mobile data to transmit information.
How are the batteries charged?
The GPS Trackers have a small USB port, and the battery is charged by plugging the charger lead into the tracker directly. This can be via a USB port on a computer/laptop, or a plug socket.
