Friendly Monthly Reminder to test your pendant to assure that your system is operating properly.

Remember, these consoles are electronics and possibly they could fail. There may be a time for interruptions, and honestly, there is nothing anyone can do to have 100% failsafe with electronics. Please understand there is a variety of reasons which could affect the status of the consoles electronics. This is why we know how vitally important it is for you to test your pendant(s) at least once a month to make sure everything is operating properly.

What happens when you press your pendant to test.

Once the pendant or wristband transmitter has been activated the consoles internal siren sounds for 5 seconds as it dials the call to relay your personal information code to our monitoring center.  After about 35 seconds you will hear the console start beeping. Normally, after the 8th or 9th beep, your medi-alert voice to voice talk feature is activated, and you can talk to the attendant at the monitoring center. Simply say  that your  doing the monthly test. We recommend you step back from the console as our voice over the console may tend to be a little loud.

Please, Do Not Press the GREEN RESET button when testing….

That will only cancel the 2 way voice communication with our center. If this happens, we will attempt to contact you by telephone. When you answer, say you’ve accidentally pressed the green reset button and that your OK, therefore, no further action will be taken.

If you have an accident and you fall, press your pendant and when we respond to you tell us you need “HELP.” The attendants are here for you to help those in need. It does not cost you anything for the emergency services to come to your home to “HELP.” you get up. Once again, please say “HELP.” when our monitoring center responds to your call.
